Dashboard for monitoring

Post by jordydk »

Hello everyone,

I have a question, I am new to Hostmonitor and would like to create the following or perhaps this is already there.

I would like to have a dashboard where both the Bad/Warning/Unknown notifications are all shown.

Is this standard somewhere or does it have to be made yourself?

I like to hear it.

Greeting,

Jordy

You may use Views (HostMonitor/RCC application)
https://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mfr ... #ViewsList

or Dashboard reports or "regular" HTML reports with "Bad/Warning/Unknown" filter (reports can be created by HostMonitor)
https://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mfr ... tm#Reports

or Web Interface dashboard

Are we talking about simplified web interface designed for very old browsers
http://webservicehostname/ws1/index.htm
?

Then you may click on Preferences tab and adjust some settings

I think we misunderstand each other. What I actually do is create a dashboard that contains both BAD and WARN (under each other or mixed together), which is not that relevant, but in your own custom style HTML or the like.

Currently I have the http://hostname/fbad.htm and the http://hostname/fwarn.htm combined in an iframe, but I can't style the fbad and fwarn parts.

I also want to be able to rotate a number of web pages where on the first page I can show the http://hostname and then the 'Dashboard' tab and on the next page the http://hostname and the 'Top Hosts' tab can show.

Only I cannot find the correct URLs for this, unfortunately http://hostname/#one / two / three / four does not work.

So in concrete terms what I actually want is that I can create an HTML page that actively refreshes every X second and that it contains all the Bad and Warn messages that I can then display on a large screen in our office.
In addition, several pages with relevant information such as the Top Hosts and the Dashboard.

Hopefully I have now explained it a bit clearly and whether this can be done.

I like to hear it.

You are trying to use elements of HostMonitor web interface (old one, designed to old browsers).
So if you want to change colors or list of field (like Status, Reply, Alive time, Alert profile, comment, etc), you may change preferences using web interface
https://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/web ... references
You cannot change anything else there.
I also want to be able to rotate a number of web pages where on the first page I can show the http://hostname and then the 'Dashboard' tab and on the next page the http://hostname and the 'Top Hosts' tab can show.
Web interface offers such tabs, you don't need to do anything special for this.
Only I cannot find the correct URLs for this...
In addition, several pages with relevant information such as the Top Hosts and the Dashboard
http://host/ws1/dashboard.htm
http://host/ws1/tophosts.htm?html=1&hdr=1
http://host/ws1/tophosts.htm?html=1&hdr=0

Also you may setup HostMonitor to create reports on regular basis and use this reports for your own web interface.

Or just use our stock web interface, it shows dashboard, it shows top hosts, it shows quick log, etc.
If you want to see just "bad" and "warning" tests, add View
