Testname templates require %testmethod%(?) with %folder%

Post by JoelD »

In the Patterns I would like to set some testname templates to something like "%folder% %methodname%", but when I try that I get the following pop-up message:
TestName pattern does not provide enough information about test item
Template should contain either %host% or %path% or %object% or ((%folder% or %FCommentLine<N>% or %agent%) and (%testmethod%))
So I thought I could use %testmethod% instead of %methodname%. But %testmethod% doesn't appear to resolve to anything if I use it in the testname template in Patterns, or even if I type it directly into the test name field of a test. It just stays: %testmethod%

Is this possibly a bug?

For test name you may use only test-properties variables.
