Reciving "Good" for almost all "good" ch

Post by norphf »

Hi

I have setup an alarm to send me an e-mail if a test goes to Bad, and the I would like to have an mail when it goes back to Good.
I have therefore configured this for Good tests:

Have I configured something wrong or is it an error in the program?

I don't think its all test that does it, it dosen't look like it.

Best Regard

If I add the action in the screenshot, under the "GOOD" side of the Alert Profile I recive an e-mail every minute (Because the check is "checking" every minute) stating "Status: ok" in the body of the mail it says "Message from HostMonitor (host changed status)". But it's wrong the check did not change status.

What I want never the less is, if a check goes "BAD" is sends me 1 e-mail (Which is working), then when the check returns to "GOOD" I recive 1 e-mail until the check goes "BAD" again (of cause).

This text
Message from HostMonitor (host changed status)
is part of e-mail template. You may create your own, or select another mail template.
Please check the manual or visit our web site for more information at:

As I see from your screenshot you have selected option "Repeat until status changes", so it works like it should.
If you want to receive only one Good alert, then you should select Condition to start action: "Repeat 1 times"

Hi

Thanks, of cause :S

Not sure why I though it was the other way around, silly me.

But thanks

Another question if it's okay, is there an easy way to select multiple tests with the same test method other than standing in Root and select the desierd tests?
Im think some way to sort by test and not gruop by folder? so all e.g. ping tests where grouped together for easy selection?
(Or should I create a new thread?)

HostMonitor provides "Views List" for that purpose:
