Some ideas to structure the HM forum, by setting up the following new forums:

a) HM - Improvements, Wish Lists
b) HM - Script Library (can include external programs)
c) HM - FAQ
d) HM - Problems and bugs

We thought about this. But its hard to separate already existing messages. Also sometimes topic starts in one category and after several posts it becomes releated to different category.

I agree that cross-posts can occur, but it would still provide a clearer structure of postings.
The current forumjust could be put into an "old" (may be read-only) forum for reference.

I am for it if it doesn't pull the dev team off the product line for too long.

Ok. What about a little different structure:
HostMonitor forums:
How to do?
Before asking a question on HostMonitor look here for possible solutions.
Problems and bugs
When you post information about error in the program, please include the following details: - OS version (e.g. Windows 2000 Professional SP3); HostMonitor version; problem description.
Wish list
Need new test, action, option? Post request here.
Library
If you have script, utility, application, or idea that can be useful for HostMonitor community, you welcome to share information in this forum.

No, just wait for votes against latest scheme of the forum
If everybody will keep silence, this scheme will be implemented

OK, my thougths....

Installation and configuration
All questions related to installations and configurations.

FAQ
Or 'how to do?', but FAQ is most commonly used.

Problem and Bugs
I don't know how bugs are internally handled by the development team, but there are good bugtrackers with web interfaces which allow users to report bugs and view the status.... But a seperate forum topic is a good start

Reports
Allow users to share report settings. I imagine a lot of people are re-inventing the same reports.....

Wish list
Library
Applications and scripts, not provided by Hostmonitor.

Looks good but why separate Reports? I think reports can be published in the Library forum.

Library can be used for anything not provided by Hostmonitor. Reports are part of Hostmonitor and it's probably the first users play around with.

Having a seperate topic keeps it simple.
