Hello,
I want to implement a scenario with Hostmonitor on two servers in different server farms, so both will monitor the whole network (100+ server on 10+ locations).
In order not to do each server addition twice, I want to syncronize the lists.
Can I syncronize them via a hostmonitor GUI?
I want to implement something as suggested on the Documentation for "HM Monitor" test ("Also there is another good feature: primary HostMonitor may monitor backup HostMonitor so each system will monitor colleague!") .
BR,
Guy.

Hi,
There's no way to synchronize test list via GUI, however you can do that manually. To copy pre-configured Host Monitor to another server please follow the steps below:
Quote from FAQ:
http://www.ks-soft.net/cgi-bin/phpBB/vi ... php?t=1099
===========
The simplest method just copy entire HostMonitor's directory from old system (system A) to the new one (system B).
1 E.g. if application located in directory "C:\Program Files\HostMonitor 4\", copy "HostMonitor 4" folder (with all subfolders) to system B into "C:\Program Files".
2 If you are using HostMonitor version 6+ (7+) and you plan to use "Send SMS (GSM)" action, you need to register KSGsmXLib.OCX using standard regsvr32.exe utility (e.g. execute command like "regsvr32.exe c:\hostmon7\KSGsmXLib.OCX")
3 Start HostMonitor on system B, click menu "Help"->"Lisense"->"Register Now" and enter your registration information.
If you want to run HostMonitor as application, that's it.
4 If you need to start HostMonitor as service, you also need to provide user name and password on Service page in the Options dialog.
4b do not forget to install service using command line "Hostmon.exe /InstallService".
===========
To make both instances monitor each other you should create HM Monitor tests on both instances with "Host" parameter set to the another Host Monitor instance host.
Regards,
Tom
