Don´t alert after a Bad Test Status

Post by rollohmasker »

Hello i use HM Version 8.06
I am checking for the Performance Counter.
I want to read the "ID Process".
Because the Process ID changed sometimes, i want only read
this. Is it possible to do not alert sometimes.
It will be good if ther should be
Alert when value: "don`t alert" can be selected.
Is this possible, or is there an other way to do this. I have often the problem,
that i want only read some information from a server, without an alert.

Best regards

Just assign empty alert profile to the test, that's it.
Empty alert profile - profile without actions (there is "Do nothing" profile however you may create another one...)

Hello,
ok it should do no actions, but i am looking for a reason, that the colour of the test did not change to red, if the status is bad.
And also the overall colour of the HM Icon in the Task Menu.
Because the most people here are looking for the blue colour of the running HM Icon, and i have a lot of tests, they should not affect the colour of the test and the Task Menu Icon. Because they are only for information.
Best regards

1) There is "Test statuses should not affect tray icon color" option located on Specials page in the Folder Properties dialog
http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mfra ... FolderTree

2) There are "Optional status processing" options in Test Properties dialog. You may force HostMonitor to set Normal status
