Hello KS-Soft/Alex,
Question: i have a lot of servers to monitor and would like to get in certain cases an SMS message.
I have an account at voipbuster and can receive SMS messages from this service.
Now, when i have a test in hostmon i want the hostmon when test result is failed to do this URL: "https://myaccount.voipbuster.com/clx/se ... 456789&to= 00316123456789&text=server 1 is down" , but this doesn't work.
I get this as a reply in log:
Error: Cannot send data to https://myaccount.voipbuster.com/clx/se ... ext=server 1 is down (TCP port 80). Valid name, no data record of requested type
How can i do this?
(Please note that all usernames and phonenumbers are scrambled)
Please Help, thanks a lot if this can work!
Regards,
Marcel.
Hostmonitor Alerting via URL to send SMS
I would suggest you to use "Execute External program" action in conjunction with some third party utility, that is able to send HTTP/HTTPS requests, like wget. Wget for Windows is available here: http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/wget.htmMarcel wrote:Thanks for your quick reply, will search for another option or try to get it in http.
Looks like nobody asked about such option before... I can add "low priority" task into "to do" list.Is a https action on your the Hostmonitor roadmap?
There other ways to send SMS without HTTP. HostMonitor supports SMPP protocol. Also it can send SMS using GSM modem (cell phone). Is there another way how to send a sms via http?
