RCC error ..... ?

Post by Gilali »

Hi everybody,

I'm using HM 7.52 on Windows 2003 SP1.

I want to use RCC to manage Hmon from my laptop, to stop using RDP on this server, but when I try to connect to server, I have this message :
[18/12/2008 10:44:01] Connecting... Ok. TCP Connection established
[18/12/2008 10:44:01] Authentication... Failed. HostMonitor response: Authorization failed. Unacceptable IP address
I try to use RCC with computer in same range ip address, but I have same bad results. I look into hmon help, but I don't find anything about this error.

User I specify to connect on, is defined in Hmon with full rights.

Someone has an idea ? :roll:

Thanks

To figure it out, you should enter IP-address of the machine, where rcc is running, into "Accept remote connection from" area in "User profiles" window for the user, you are trying to log in.

Quote from the manual:

Also you can specify a list of IP addresses authorized for remote connections for each of the accounts.
Please note:

* to insert new address press INSERT button; to remove item press CTRL+DEL;
* you may specify ranges of IP addresses from which a connection may be accepted. E.g. 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.100;
* you may use '0.0.0.0' IP address. If you specify 0.0.0.0 address, HostMonitor will accept incoming connections from ANY address.
=================================
