Is it possible to export the quick log for a specific test or folder to txt or (preferably) csv format?
An example of where this is useful...
I have a few tests that are monitoring SNMP messages from some custom applications. They are supposed to report errors that are application-specific, but the programmers have duplicated some of the error checking/logging features between applications. This cross-monitoring between their apps is resulting in 3-5 times the number of alerts that I should be getting.
Rather than having to create a bunch of message filters, I would like to just be able to export a copy of the quick log, which clearly shows this duplication, and give it to the programmers. Is this possible?

Re: Export QuickLog
Sorry, HostMonitor does not provide such option. Actually, I think, you may setup a "private log" for certain test to be written into particular file. In this "private log" file you will see the same information as in "Quick log" pane. http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mfra ... tm#privLogfriegert wrote:Is it possible to export the quick log for a specific test or folder to txt or (preferably) csv format?

I know about & use private logs.
The nice thing about exporting the quick log is that the quicklog info for a folder would contain information for all tests in the folder & would thus allow the user to view the duplicate information without having to review multiple files.
It's not that I can't find a work-around, it would just add yet another convenience to an already wonderful tool.

So, you need QuickLog on per-folder basis? DashBoard reports provide such option (HTML file format)
