import/export in csv format

Post by pvdc »

Hi Alex,
I found that the csv format can only be used for export from rma-mgr items . I would like you to know that importing and exporting tests (and folders) by means of CSV files also for us would be a very useful thing .
Thanks, Peter

Every test method has its own unique properties, so its hard to use one csv file for several different tests

That is absolutely correct for importing tests . But it is - in my opinion -less important for exporting tests . And such a csv export-list would be helpful when I need to ask some of my colleagues to evaluate a test-list on it's completeness . Now they have to go through an export file of thousands of lines, in which a test and it's parameters need to be searched time and time again, in blocks of 15 to 20 lines . If every test could be "compressed" to one line, en as such be imported in Excel, then I presume it would be more readable . Thanks for your consideration ! Peter
