I thought the Folder Tree wasn't very functional in Web Service until I realized today that the problem is the color palette. We use the Black & Green Palette -- I think it looks very cool! But the "plus sign" and "minus sign" icons do not show up next to each folder name, so you can't open and close the folders. Now that I've switched to a lighter color, the tree works very well (I am on 6.78 beta)
I prefer the Black palette... is there a way to display a better + / - icon when in that palette? Alternatively, if you could have it expand and contract the folder just by clicking the NAME of the folder, that might work as well.
Thanks for a great product and even better support!

Re: Web Service - Interactive Tree problem with black palett
I see two possible workarounds. The first one is to use "Display all (sub)folders at once" option. With this option selected Web Service will always display expanded view of all folders and descendant subfolders in the Folder section. Using this option Web service does not use +/- signs at all.sneader wrote:I prefer the Black palette... is there a way to display a better + / - icon when in that palette? Second solution is more artful. All images, which are used by Web service, including + and - signs (opendir.gif and closedir.gif accordingly), are placed in \Webservice\Images subfolder. So, you may take tool like Microsoft Paint, and change color of appropriate images to the color, that suits your needs.
You are welcome!sneader wrote:Thanks for a great product and even better support!

Max, that is so funny that you mentioned editing the icons... literally, as I was in Photoshop inverting the icons from black to white, your e-mail came in !!
In case anyone else wants the icons, I have them here:
http://home.qth.com/WhiteDirIcons.zip
They go in the /WebService/Icons directory (rename the original ones, in case you want to go back to them).
Max/Alex -- I still think a more elegant solution would be for the Black palette to call the white directory icons -- you are welcome to use these if you wish, of course.

Done. Version 6.79 Beta available at www.ks-soft.net/download/hm679.exeI still think a more elegant solution would be for the Black palette to call the white directory icons
New Web Service uses 2 sets of folder icons for dark and bright palettes. Also some improvements for CPU Usage and Process test methods were made.
H'm, it looks like empty square without any picture..

Alex
You are the best !!

Yes, it does. But it really is there! White icon on transparent background... will look pretty empty to you, until it is on a dark background. I used your black icon GIF and simply told Photoshop to "invert", which turned it white.H'm, it looks like empty square without any picture.
