RMA Can not be Launched in multiple instances

Post by Artegos »

Hello,
My problem :
Image

I have only one instance in this server.
If I using 1054 or 1056 port, Rma has started.
But In my Network, only port 1055 is open.

I have checked this port on server with Netstat and Tcpview.
The 1055 is not use by another process.
My antivirus : Norton - I don't Scan mail. Only files.

It's a Web Server (Win 2003 server) - No sql server - Just IIS.
I have a same second server, and RMA has started

Thanks for help.

Looks like rma is already started from another folder with the same settings. Do you see any rma.exe processes in Task Manager > Processes tab? Probably, second instance of rma is started as service? You may use standard windows Services applet (Start > Run > services.msc) to figure it out. Do you see "KS Remote Monitoring Agent" in services list? Is it started?

Rma is not already started.
I have only one folder with rma. I have not second instance in process list. "KS remote Monitoring Agent" is in Services list but Not Started.
In RMA log :
[28/02/2007 15:09] RMAService Error: cannot open port #1055. Probably port in use
[28/02/2007 15:28] RMA App Error: cannot open port #1055. Probably port in use
[28/02/2007 15:28] RMA App Error: cannot open port #1055. Probably port in use

This port is not used in my server, i have check with Netstat and Tcpview.
I don't undestand.

Probably, you should reboot the machine to make it work. If it does not help, try to execute following command within command line:

Code: Select all

netsh winsock reset

Sure, there is solution. If system does not allow to use port 1055 (we don't know why), change the port. HostMonitor/RMA can utilize any unused TCP port.
