URL Test

Post by fishvict »

I have two hostmonitor servers (one is for DR). I have a URL test defined to check an internal website (this test is HTTPS), and it comes back OK as it should. On our 2nd Hostmonitor server, it always comes back as bad. I confirmed that I can access the site from Internet Explorer.

Both are running HM 6.54. Both machines are Windows 2003 R2.

I've read some previous posts that talk about wininet.dll. On the server that works, the version is 6.0.3790.2817.

On the server that doesn't work, the version was 6.0.3790.2732, but I did a Windowsupdate and now it has 6.0.3790.2858. In both circumstances I still can not get URL request to work.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Victor

May be certificate problem? Do you use the same settings for both HostMonitors?
Misc page in the Options dialog:
- Agent name
- Accept SSL/PCT certificates with invalid host name
- Accept SSL/PCT certificates with invalid dates
URL Test Properties dialog
- HTTP/HTTPS: Code 302 (redirect) is Ok
- HTTPS: Ignore unknown certificate authority problems
- HTTPS: Accept certificates with invalid host name
- HTTPS: Accept certificates with invalid dates
?

yes, same exact testlist. In fact, i'm using DFS to copy the files between the servers.

Thats what threw me off. I had it working fine on one machine, setup the DFS to the 2nd machine, turned one off and the other on, and these were the only tests that went bad.

Can we access your web site somehow?
BTW: You may try to copy wininet.dll from one system to another...
