HM Script and CMD-Prozess

Hallo,

i start with the action: "execute HMS script" a scriptfile with the following content:

SetTestParam "NT6600MM003 AS-McAfeeFramework" commentline6 6977
AckTestStatus "NT6600MM003 AS-McAfeeFramework" "Incident: 6977, Status: Registriert,"

hostmoni execute the script correct, but on the hostmoni-server are 2 processes
with the name "CMD", when i do the script again there are 4 processes and so on. Whats wrong?? I need a little help from you.

My hostmoniversion is 6.24 running on a w2k-server

Sorry, could not reproduce the problem. Could you provide more information, please?
- Is HostMonitor started as a service or as an application?
- What account do you use to start HostMonitor? We recommend to use admin account
- Are there any other actions in the Action profile, that contains "execute HMS script" action?
- Do you use any other HMS scripts with "ExecuteProgram" command?
- Do you use "Execute external program" actions?
- Do you use Schell Script actions?

O.K.,

Hostmoni is startet as a service
the account is a admin account
i use no other hms-scripts with ...
i use a lot of "execute extername program" without any problem
i don't use Shell Script actions

some more information, i testet the following

when i start the same hms-script from the hostmonitor screen
File / execute script, it works very well, no CMD-Processes will be left on the server.
there mus be a difference between starting manuell from scrren and start by action profile i think.

Maybe running as a service could be the difference.

What if you start HM as an Application and try again.

HMScript does not start any process unless you are using StartProgram or ExecuteProgram commands.
May we see your scripts and alert profiles? Please send actions.lst and all your scripts to support@ks-soft.net
