rcc access violation

Post by Seitter »

hallo,
i am customizing a traffic monitor - test,
i put in the field: host a DNS-Name,
i start the "choose network interface"-Screen to select the entry for the field: check then is there a access violation.
When i put into the filed: "SNMP host" a IP-Adress it works.

I am working with the RCC from HM 6.24 on a windows XP-Client

Looks like you have entered invalid hostname. Or this hostname can not be resolved by DNS. Are you able to ping the host using that DNS-name?

that's not the problem, the dns-name works in the test, but not in "choose network interface" - screen

Test performed by HostMonitor works, while RCC GUI does not? I assume system where RCC is started cannot resolve hostname, while system where HostMonitor is running has access to DNS server.
Otherwise it should work fine, at least we cannot reproduce any problem using correct hostname on Windows 2000, XP, Windows 2003...
