Adding multiple PCs, same task.

I've been using the import function to import text files into host monitor, but I'm finding the cut and paste thing quite tiresome... does anyone know of a decent free utility that will allow me to script this, incrementing the relevant lines (ie computername) by a value of 1? I'm sure there's a clever way of doing this, but I'm not particularly clever...
