When hostmonitor will become ONLY a windows services?
and everione use it by JAVA client nterface, so all platform will can run client interface :-) :-) :-)

It can run as service, it can be started as application. What the problem?
and everione use it by JAVA client nterface, so all platform will can run client interface
H'm.. I cannot say I like Java. Its like ODBC - pretty universal solution but not fast enough and some bug in ODBC driver (or Java VM) may lead to problems that we will not be able to fix.
That's actually why HostMonitor does not use ODBC to store all information in the tables.

I agree on Alex's comment about possible problems using Java. Don't forget that some nms software that use Java need much much more RAM than HM to work without problems, plus all NMS clients also need about 256MB of RAM JUST for working remotely on the NMS.

HM is fine as it is, according to my humble opinion :roll:

I know, but a lot of our technician use Linux or FreeBSD to work (his workstation) and web interface is to slow

RCC is better but work only on windows platform :-)
