Ping with specific packet size

Post by Mogge »

Hi!

I'm having some problems with a communication line the "looses" the MTU size - yes I know - it sounds strange!! :D

If I in a cmd prompt uses the ping util ..

PING 172.20.10.10 -l 1472 -f

...I might get an error - that means that my supplier of lines again has been ******** up the line...

If I use the ping test in HM is it the same test if I put 1472 in packet size? How 'bout the -f parameter? Should I do anything to be sure that HM dosn't fragment the packet?

Kind regards

HostMonitor does not use "do no fragment" flag.
Probably we can implement new option...

Done - Ping test offers new option "Don't fragment".
