Virtual folders

Post by Stoltze »

Hi,

A little wish..

You create a tree, witch reflects you installation across different cities.. So you create a folder for each city. Within each folder, you are performing tests on firewalls, switches, Windows servers, Linux servers, etc..

You can then create reports, that shows uptime for City1, city2, city3 and so on.

But what if I would like to see, how all my Windiows servers are performing? Across the cities?

You could say, that I can create a report, with positive list, choose which tests too include etc..

But why not, put the tests into a virtual folder? Windows servers, Linux servers, database servers, webservers etc..

One tests should be able to be a member of several virtual folders.

And for each folder, it should be possible to choose wether to show on the webservice or not. And you should be able to choose them reports etc..

It would be great to show my boss!!!

Best Regards,

Yes, it would be great. But I don't think this feature will be implemented before version 5.0

virtual folders

Post by llinskey »

Hi,

I have implemented HM in two companies in the last 2 years. It is a great product. I like the previous emailer also think that you need virtual folders. The reporting is very limited in structure. I have set up folders by location and then have 25 tests running for each location. Each location goes to its own log file. It is a real pain to compare one test across numerous locations. I do a lot of informational usage testing like number of logons today. It would be great to see a report against one test in folders that are hierarchically equal.

Thanks for a great product.
