Licensing questions

Post by datwood »

I need some clarification on the licensing for HostMonitor.

If I wanted to install HM on a second server as a backup (in case the first server dies), but leave it disabled on the second server, would that require a second license ?? The second server would have the same configuration as the first and would be manually started only if the first server failed. If so, would the second license also need to be an Enterprise license ??

Similiarly, if I wanted to run HM on a clustered server, does that require a second license ?

Finally, if I buy an Enterprise license for the production system and a second Enterprise license for the test system, can I use any leftover RMAs from the test system on the production system ??
I know I would need a second license for test because the two environments cannot see each other, but we also have more servers in production, for instance, I might need 8 RMAs in test and 12 in production.

Thanks for your help,
datwood

Yes, you need second license for second installation. We can provide discount, please send request to sales@ks-soft.net
And yes, we can transfer RMA licenses from one package to another.
