Copy Test - won't let you change Test Method

Ok, I'm probably doing something dumb... but I have some sites that I have configured to ping a server to determine up/down status. Now I would like to use the exact same parameters I have already defined, but the only difference is I want to check a certain port. When I go into AHM, right-click the test, choose COPY, then I choose PASTE, it duplicates the test just fine, and it lets me alter every single configuration option EXCEPT the Test Method. The Test Method is grayed out (ping) and I cannot modify it. This forces me to create new tests from scratch, versus a simple copy / paste / test method change. What am I doing wrong? This is normal behaviour for HM. If you created new test from scratch, you would not change test method either.

I see your point. You cannot change the test method of an existing test either. Probably some good reasons for that.

I wish there was a way to make a copy of an existing test, and just change that one thing (test method). Would make my life easier, but it's not that big of a deal.

You cannot change just one thing (test method) because different test methods have different properties.
