Email alerts to user profiles

When setting up email alerts, how can you set it up to email the users setup in "User Profiles".

You cannot do that.
However if you do not want to specify static e-mail addresses in alert profiles, then you may use User Defined Variables

Okay, that is what i gathered from the help page. What are all the fields for in the operators area?

Fields for information purpose only, so you know where to find the operator.

ahh, well that might be a nice feature to email operators
