Groups ?

Post by StevenE »

In Host Monitor is it possible to create groups or ? for items.

I understand I can put them in branches, I have all my tests setup in branches for each remote office currently.

What I would like to do is create another branch / group so I could see all the routers at once without duplicating the tests.

Yet I do not want to remove them from thier current branch.

Is this Possible ?

Thanks StevenE

I think it's impossible for curent version, but you can generate custom report to view all your routers statistics.
Or you can create new HML file only for routers tests and load it time after time, but there will be duplicating tests.
So many but... :-)

Anyway, it is a good feature and I think Alex should add it in "to do" list.

Would it be an easy fix to allow us to put something in the comment field of each test and add another level to the FOLDER TREE that would be a breakout of each group.

For example:
In the comment field of a test we could have "group: router" or "group: web login" or something like these.

Then in the FOLDER TREE you could show:
- Root
...- USA Sites
......- Site 1
......- Site 2
- Grouped Items << This would be the new section from here down.
...- Router
......- NY Router
......- LA Router
...- Web Login
......- web abcd.com
......- web wxyz.com

etc etc. Just thinking outloud. Thanks for listening.... :)

Hi Alex,

this function would be very nice. Only one possibility is not enough for all user and there different points of view. Is the implementation possible in next time?

Best regards

Next time? No, it will not be implemented in version 5.86 or 5.90. May be 6.00 but I cannot guarantee
