Hi Alex,

Sorry for the delay in replying - i've been away for a few days.

Many thanks

Pete

Hi Alex,

Not sure what's happening - we checked our spam filter and don't have any messages from either of those addresses.

Best regards

Pete

Hi Alex,

It could be that then - my primary SMTP address has changed to a new domain.

Can you confirm what address your reply would come from please? I haven't had any e-mail so perhaps our spam filter has taken it.

Best regards

pete

Contact Problems

Hi there, I placed an order for an additional RCC license a couple of weeks ago but haven't heard anything since. I've also tried contacting you via e-mail but got no reply. It's really strange to me because support has always been first rate in the past. I'm beginning to wonder if my e-mails have b...

Hi, Nice work - and big thanks to previous posters as the previous scripts gave me a little inspiration. The only problem I had with the previous versions of the script was that it took a long time to run for me. This is because it enumerates every object in the domain and that can take time. This l...

Do you mean you need item that will be "bad" when ANY of checks for some specific server is "bad"? And this test should be "good" if ALL checks for some specific server is "good"? That's pretty much it :-) We don't care how many checks fail - if any of them f...

I totally understand your confusion - it's proving hard for me to explain. The issue is that if you perform an SLA Report on a number of tests that relate to a single system then you don't really get a true picture of the systems availability. If, for example, you monitor a number of Services and th...

Hi Alex, Thanks for taking the time to reply - given your response I think I understand the setup a bit better now. But the issue I now face is that I can only have 20 dependent tests - and it looks like making a hierarchy to handle the limit won't work. I wish to aggregate the results from tests ov...

Overall SLA based on dependent tests

Hi, I'm trying to achieve something specific using Host Monitor but I have no idea if it's possible or not. Hopefully some kind soul on here might be able to give me a clue. :-) We have a complex Citrix environment which we would like to be able to give an 'overall' SLA report for. My original idea ...

Hi,

We're currently running v8.64.

It's quite possible a wrong name has been used - unfortunately I didn't make the configuration and the person who did left the Company about 10 months ago.

I'll e-mail the file over as requested.

Many thanks

Problem with scheduled SLA report

Good morning, I have a problem with a scheduled SLA Report and i'm hoping someone can assist in diagnosing what the issue is. The report was working previously but is now behaving in a strange way. In our configuration we have a number of custom views which group tests together based on the system. ...

Multi-level thresholds

Hi, I thought i'd read somewhere but now that I need to do it I can't seem to find the article. I'd like to set up a single disk space monitoring test but have it react differently depending on the thresholds. For example i'd like to first set a 'warning' threshold at around 10% of the available spa...

Traffic Monitor Issue

Hi, We had an issue whereby a Traffic Monitor test is reporting that a modest amount of traffic (approx 4kbps) is flowing over an ISDN circuit which is linked to our core router. The problem is that when I've spoke to our network team they've checked the affected interface and it's not currently bei...

Spurious notifications during the evenings.

We've been using Advanced Host Monitor for some time now and it's fair to say the number of checks we're doing is quite high - we've been impressed by the systems flexibility and we've got it doing everything from basic ping tests to more complex scripted checks. However, we've got a few strange iss...

Hi again, RMA is started as application or service? If RMA is started as service, you should specify admins account for this service using standard Windows Services applet. That's because "local system" account cannot use network API... That was exactly the problem. We run the RMA as a Ser...
