CH, are you still experiencing this issue? I have also had this problem for a number of months now, since upgrading Host Monitor and affected agents to 8.68c I get this problem. Any RMA agents (active / passive) that have not been updated are not affected. Since this issue appeared I have not update...

Alex, This will be a handy feature for us, when you come to code this feature would it be possible to have features such as every 2nd Tuesday of month from start time to end time? We have monthly maintenance windows between specific times and this feature would be very handy for us to specify every ...

Thanks Alex, I'll investigate further, just seems strange that the websites are actually up and running whilst HM reports the internal errors.

In any case I'll start digging deeper thanks for the investigation.

Alex, the server running HostMonitor is running Windows 2003 Server Rs - SP2, with Internet Explorer 7, all web sites are using the HTTP protocol for site checking. All tests are being checked every minute. Sure, some of the sites we are having continuous problems with are: http://www.leighton.co.uk...

URL Request - returns "no answer"

Hi, I'm experiencing the same issue with a number of URL request tests, throughout the day and night any number of my website tests fail with the result of no answer, however on the same server which runs HM I can browse to the website quickly without any issues. The server can resolve the name corr...

Tests disabled, yet hostmonitor still accessing server

Hi, I'm using HostMonitor 7.50 and have an issue where hostmonitor is accessing the servers that it monitors even though all tests are disabled. HM is configured and running as a service, and can verify all tests (service, eventlog, WMI and permon tests) are disabled, so how come HM is still accessi...

WMI and 2 decimal places

Hello, I'm starting to re-configure all of our tests that use performance counters, with WMI tests instead, however I'm stuck with trying to figure out how to get some of the test results to display in 2 decimal places. For example one of the tests we use is the Avg. Disk/sec transfer performance co...

Max, Ill try and explain this a bit better. I have a few tests configured that monitor services (via checking the event log for these conditions) on a number of servers, however at midnight daily some of the tests are automatically restarted via windows scheduled task. To get around "false aler...

Alert being processed after test comes back into schedule

Hi, This is probably an easy one, I have a few tests that are not executed for an hour during the night (this is controlled via a schedule), as these tests would normally flag bad any other period during the day. However my issue is that once the schedule is over and the tests are running again, the...

Alerting monitoring

Hi, Just wondering is there a way to monitor whether or not the "Enable Alerting" option is currently running? The reason I ask this is that I came in today and noticed that Alerting was currently disabled on HostMonitor (7.20) and there had been an issue overnight, it would be nice to hav...

Max have just sorted it as you replied. I had to restart the "Remote Registry" service a few times after the second restart hostmonitor started returning the expected results. Weird one.
