I delete all tests. Then I use the test templates and my Excel spreadsheet which are processed by a Perl script which creates the new text file. Aha, I see. Then for sure HostMonitor will start all these tests because checks never were performed. The problem is I do not want all the tests to be tes...

The problem is the 'default' behavior of Host Monitor. When Host Monitor's Monitoring is first started, the Host Monitor program runs through all the tests one by one. This can create an e-mail storm if there are a couple hundred alerts (red items in the Host Monitor console). It would be better if...

I periodically make changes to the Host Monitor tests. When I make the changes, I run a batch file which sets the two Host Monitor services to disabled and reboots the server. I then launch the Host Monitor application to make the changes. I then reboot the server again with a batch file that enable...

Changing Acknowledged colors from pink to blue on the web
The 'blue' color scheme is used. The Acknowledged events had a 'pink' background. So when the events are Acknowledged, they change from a 'red' background to a 'pink' background. These colors are too close to each other. I changed the Acknowledged event color from a 'pink' background to 'blue' with ...

Changing the default from "Folder" to "Views&
When I launch the web GUI, the web page comes up organized by "Folders". I then click on "Views" and it is organized by "Views".
How do I change the default so that when I launch the web GUI, it comes up defaulting to "Views"?

GreyHat64, I liked your script so much I thought we should have a more flexible version. I have added the ability to supply drive specific sizes on the command line. Usage: CSCRIPT HDFree.VBS {computer_name} {[drive:]threshold [[drive:]threshold] [.....]} e.g. CSCRIPT HDFree.VBS Mycomp C:2 D:20%% 1...

Web Console keeps failing
The Host Monitor web console keeps failing several times per day. To help keep the Host Monitor web console running, a script is run to stop the Host Monitor web console and restart it every two hours. Specifically, we run 'net stop' on the "KS Web Service" service and kill the "hostm...
