Failure Iterations Reset

Just a quick question.

Does anyone know if the Failure Iterations are reset if the hostmonitor service crashes? I am guessing they will but would really like it if they didnt :)

RCC is Running on XP Pro SP2
Machine to be tested is Server 2003 Standard SP1
