perhaps you could implement a test to look for a string in all the files of a specific type (eg *.txt)
would help..

any idea how I can solve this issue?

Problem: FileCompare udv usage

I want to get an alert if a string appears in our daily generated logfile. To get the name of the logfile I have a FileAvailability test(bf_logfilename) which looks for %dd%_%mm%_%yyyy%* (which is our format for the logfiles) I have a Global Variable udv_logfilename which is defined as %::bf_logfile...

ok, i will test this with a new event tomorrow morning. thx for the advice.

p.s.:
I read about the "only new events" in the help file before but I thought that "new" describes events that hostmonitor has not checked before. Now I understand :)

Hi, I want to get an alert if there is any entry in the event log from ServeRaidManagerAgent. The problem is that I always get "status:OK" even if there are ServeRaidManagerAgent entries in the eventlog.. Here are screenshots of my configuration: http://www.security-testing.com/temp/test_p...
