event log

Post by bfrauneder »

Hi,

I want to get an alert if there is any entry in the event log from ServeRaidManagerAgent.

The problem is that I always get "status:OK" even if there are ServeRaidManagerAgent entries in the eventlog..

Here are screenshots of my configuration:

and pix of the eventlog:

can you help me on this?

Settings look correct. Please note: HostMonitor changes test status to "Bad" only when it has found NEW event(s) that satisfies all specified requirements. If, after the next probe, the monitor does not find a new "Bad" event, it changes the test status to "Ok". So, I assume, HostMonitor will change status to "Bad" next time the event appears in the log. http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mfra ... m#chkNTLog

Max is right. Your events 2 weeks old (June 14). HostMonitor does nto check "old" events (events that were added before you started HostMonitor and created test item)

ok, i will test this with a new event tomorrow morning. thx for the advice.

i'll keep you posted.

p.s.:
I read about the "only new events" in the help file before but I thought that "new" describes events that hostmonitor has not checked before. Now I understand :)
