Does this not disprove it being a permissions related issue also?LesPaul11 wrote:However, I can connect to the target UNC (\\[ServerIP]\c$) directly when logged in to the Hostmonitor server with the same credentials. Surely this means our problem is not connectivity related?

Alex I work alongside Harroguk - he is on vacation at the moment. I can create an additional shared resource to the C: drive root which does connect successfully using the same credentials. \\[ServerIP]\c$\ Could you create another shared resource that points to disk C and use it for testing? Howeve...
Sub-Views
Hi We currently set all our tests out in folders that are organised by Hardware ie. __hostname/physical server ________folder subset ____________server tests whilst we can use views to show us tests fitting certain criteria it would be even more useful if within views you could create a subview to h...

ODBC data sources in RCC
I would like to runn a SQL query to a SQL server we have. Hostmonitor runs on a dedicated server as a service in a data centre which we connect to using the RCC. I have configured a Data Source on the Hostmonitor server to the SQL server in question, however, when using the RCC the only data sources...

View criteria
Views are a great way of checking things.
I'd find it really useful if i could create a view using criteria "Test By"
ie. view all tests from Agent X, Agent Y or direct from Hostmonitor....
can't see it on current ver (unless I've gone blind!!
)

What version of ODBC driver do you use? Server version? Could you disable ODBC logging for testing? What about 3rd party software on both systems? Antivirus monitor, personal firewall, content monitoring software, non-standard winsock components? MySQL ODBC driver ver 3.51 Altiris deployment server...

My apologies, maybe I didn't explain properly. We found recently that when tests failed, the associated alert action (sound, message) didn't execute. After digging around I noticed that (and noticing a big button on the toolbar to switch them back on :P ) alerts were disabled in the monitoring menu....

Disable alerts
Other than clicking Monitoring > Disable Alerts is there any other way that alerts can become disabled?? eg. restart of HM?? acknowledging bad status with "acknowledge and stop alerts"???

Acknowledge status query
We have had a number of tests go bad (which was expected). by mistake, when aclnowledging i clicked on "Acknowledge that" instead of "Acknowledge and stop alerts". Is there a way to re-acknowledge and suppress the alerts?
If not, can this be added to the wish list?
Thx
