 I work some time with hostmon but anyhow oversaw this column until your valuable hint, Marcus. I think I simply didn't expect it to exist besides the status column itself... Many thanks, this solves some issues I had with the interface (we are switching from email-notification only to using t...

stop "play sound" alert-bad-action when good again
Hi,
I was wondering if I simply missed how to have an alert sound switched off automatically when the test returns to state 'good'? If not: Please add to wish list. If yes: How to?
Thank you, Rainer

I am sorry you feel offended by clear conversation. I won't reply further. I am seriously and genuinely sorry to have answered you at any time at all. Mostly sorry for myself to have wasted my time on you. A forum is BTW usually for both support by the vendor and exchanging tips and tricks between t...

You're right, Antony. one doesn't need to know how to do anything as long as one finds another guy who does the job. So here is my wish to KS: Would you please make HostMon to tell me whenever something important in my network goes wrong? I don't know what but you'll figure it out  Rainer P.S. ...

Re: Email notification of all system log entries
Is it possible to email the users of all entries in the system log file? Not sure what you really want. Do entries have users? This was new to me. Anyway if you just wanted a mail with all system log entries you can write a script run locally on the computer in question. Have a look here for furthe...

We solved this by escalation. First an error is mailed but after x consecutive occurences it is SMSed (via GSM, not internet  ). This might be even better: Test your emailer in a separate test. To the alert profile of all tests to be submitted by pager add a 'bad action' to page you with advan...

"test every" 24 hours
Hi folks,
just thought it was great if I you could enhance the "regular schedule" from 23:59:59 test interval to 24:00:00 so tests execution time would not move a second each day.
Thank you, Rainer
