We've been trying to figure out RCC connection issues for over 6 months and after finding this post I disabled reports and it's working now. Three reports were running every 5 minutes including one that exported the status on about 3,000 tests. The CPU would spike for at least 30 seconds during this...

Traffic monitor replies
I am trying to monitor our Internet connection and found the traffic monitor tests which appear to do what I want but the megabytes and megabits appear to be off. I want to test and alert based on megabits but whether I choose that or megabytes, the replies are all the same. For example, if I test i...

Get DNS result for mutiple IPs
I need to check what some Google websites resolve to which returns multiple IPs. In the DNS test you can't use wildcards for the IP. Is there a way to do this?
Example: If www.google-analytics.com = 74.125.224.* or 66.102.7.*, reply is ok
Thanks

Check dates for file folders
I have a folder that contains many sub-folders and I need to alert if a new sub-folder isn't created in a certain amount of time. Something like count files appears like it would work but is for files, not sub-folders.
Suggestions to make this work?

Alert sending page when it shouldn't
I have an alert that sends a page after 3 bad statuses between the hours of 7am to 5pm. I then have the good action alert dependent on the bad alert. But what is happening is the test is going bad at let's say 3am and the bad alert does not get sent which is expected. But when the test changes to go...

Couple items for wishlist
When setting permissions for RCC users, I need to give users the ability to view their test settings but I don't want them to be able to change. Currently if they can see the details, they can also change them. I currently use the system log to verify if an alert went to a user. But, it doesn't show...

Text Log test requires carriage return after string
I have been trying to figure out why my text log test would not find a string and finally discovered that unless there is a carriage return after the last line that contains the string, Hostmonitor won't find it. Is this normal behaivor? I'm running version 6.80. For example, if I'm searching for th...

No updates since July
Normally updates seem to come out every 1-2 months but been almost 4 months. Is Hostmonitor still being developed?

Sorry for the confusion. For the multiple alerts, tests needs to monitor 24/7 but for some tests it e-mails 24/7 but only pages 7am-7pm. Then to make it a little more complicated, some tests e-mail 24/7 after 2 bad times and pages 7pm-7am after 3 bad times. So they can get quite complex. For the sys...

I would like the same
I would also like to see the ability to have more than one alert profile assigned to a test. My scenario is a little different. I often setup alert profiles for each sys admin and there can be sometimes up to 5 different profiles depending on time of day, number of bad statuses, etc. So a sys admin ...

Re: Error
Actually, when selecting the alert it's "Send message to beeper" and then it says "Send message to numeric pager" when filling in the fields.Guido39 wrote:I am using the "Send message to numeric pager" alert.
