on my server i want to receive a sms when the internet connecting is down. this works very good. i configure a test how is pings a external server and when the ping is bad it sends a sms. now the problem ist when the server where i ping is down, i receive a sms
is it with hostmonitor possible to install 2 same tests an when both tests fails so i receive the sms?
So, you want to ping 2 servers and send SMS when both servers dead?
You can create 2 ping tests: TestA and TestB. Set TestA as master test for TestB using "Perform test when Master test has dead status" option and assign action profile that sends SMS to TestB only. In this case HostMonitor will perform TestB (ping server B) only in case server A does not answer and start action only when both servers do not answer.
now i have make two ping test. test B with a action profile to send sms. it works fine after 2 ping timeouts.
now i set another ping test A without any actions. i set also test A for master (perform ...dead status)for test B.
Now when test A fails, test B will be activated but the sms will never send after 2 ping timeouts.!
any ideas?

Could you please send HML file with test, actions.lst, schedules.lst, and hostmon.ini files to our address line1@ks-soft.net?
