New Web Service problem

Post by colstripcom »

Just installed the new web service 114 and the images are not showing up for the status. This is a brand new install, on W2k3 IIS is installed but is not using the port 82 that the web service is using. everything else works great just no images.. is just giving me the red X.

Thanks,
Steve

Probably you need to increase "Maximum simultaneous connections" parameter (option located on RCI page in HostMonitor's Options dialog).

How you installed this update? Over "official" release 1.11? Or you just unzip exe module into some new folder?

I had no prior version. I just unzipped and installed. All the images are in the correct folder too.

?? Its impossible - version 1.14 is update, zip file does not contain any images. You should have normal "official" release installed before applying this update.

:o I am sorry, I did not see that it is part of the original install package. So I did have it. I just did not use it till I saw the update and thought that was the whole thing. So it was installed before I did the update.

So, you overwrote old webservice.exe file? And "images\" folder exists in the "WebService\" directory? And 26 bmp & gif files present in "images\" folder?

That is correct I do have that many. The only diffrent thing is that the software is installed on the e:\ of this machine. Would that make a diffrence?

You may install it on any local drive.

Are you sure you do not have second copy of webservice.exe somewhere on hard drive? Probably you started that second copy that does not have access to image files?
Or may be you changed permissions... Does "Everyone" have access to images\ folder?
