The quick log pane is very useful. As it is updated continously, it is, however, difficult/impossible (dependant on the update rate) to scroll down and check for some older entries.
WISH/PROPOSAL: Stop updating the quick log pane as long as the mouse hovers over the QLP or its scroll bar.
Q: can I set the update rate manuallly??
Regards
Thomas

Quick Log displays and should display real-time information. If you need to check old records you may use log viewer or Log Analyzer.

There is no "rate", its real-time information. HostMonitor updates Quick Log after each test execution (depends on test settings).can I set the update rate manuallly??

Thanks for your reply Alex,
My Problem is: I cannot scroll to the end of the list, as the display is set to the top 25 with every update (7 times per second = you have to turn the wheel of your mouse very fast). Log analyzer is a bad alternative, as it doesn't show all the tests (resp. their status changes) together.
Can you help me?
Thomas
We have > 100 devices being checked by aprox. 1000 tests. There are 7 tests per second. Quick log shows the last 50 status changes, 25 of which can be displayed directly, for 25 more you have to scroll. It's all recent information (usually only the last few hours) and it is very helpful to analyze more complex system failures (what happened first? which was the cause, which was the effect?).Quick Log displays and should display real-time information. If you need to check old records you may use log viewer or Log Analyzer.

Do you use Full or Reply logging mode for all (most) of your tests? Otherwise HostMonitor would update Quick Log when test changes its status. My Problem is: I cannot scroll to the end of the list, as the display is set to the top 25 with every update (7 times per second = you have to turn the wheel of your mouse very fast)
Probably we can keep selected record on screen when Quick Log pane is focused

H'm.. you are right. We use Midnight logging. But the QLP persistently jumps to the top 25 even when there are no new records
Ok, fixed. Update available at www.ks-soft.net/download/hm684b.zip
Please install version 6.82 before using this update.
Also, if you are using RMA for Windows, update agents as well (rma.exe included into archive).
Regards
Alex
