Hi,
I am trying to monitor a network folder to see when the contents changes. I'm sure AHM can do it, I'm just not sure how to set it up.
I would like to be alerted, not when a certain number of files is reached, but when the number of files changes from one test result to the next. Alternatively, testing for the date stamp of the newest file in the folder and comparing it against the results of the last test would also work.
Hope that's clear...thanks.
Mike

Re: count files test
I think, you may use "Count files" test mehod with "Count files newer than NN min" option. For instance, you should setup "Count Files" test to be performed once per hour, specify condition like "Count files newer than 60 min" and set additional condition "Alert when folder contains more than 0 files". In this case, you will be alerted if at least one new file appears during an hour. http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mfra ... countfilesMikeB wrote:I would like to be alerted, not when a certain number of files is reached, but when the number of files changes from one test result to the next.
