Web interface colors

Post by Nils »

Hi,

THe web interface shows Bad alerts in dark pink, and the Warnings in dark orange. This caused our support personnel to think that the Warnings are more critical than the Bad alerts. Is there a way to change the colors? Thanks.

Sure. You may use Webservice menu "Options" > "Colors..." to adjust color palette for web interface according to your liking.
Quote from the manual:
http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/webs ... #webcolors
-----------------------------
To modify colors of the selected palette, click on the element which you want to change color for. Use right-click on an element to change its background color, and left-click to change the text color.
-----------------------------

Thanks! I totally missed that. I was messing around with the Color Schemes in the Hostmonitor console.

I am very happy for the quick response :-)

You should use menu "Options" > "Colors" of "HM Web Service" application. http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/webs ... #webcolors

I use the webservice color menu already.

However when I acknowledge a "warning" in the webinterface, the color is black text with orange background and these colors are not in my configuration of colors. I am usning version 6.75 and it might be an error. Im am modifing the "black and green" template.

Sorry, could not reproduce the problem. Could you send wcolors.lst, webservice.ini and wsuserprof.lst from Webservice folder to support@ks-soft.net ?
What exact browser do you use? IE? Firefox? Opera? Other?

As I can see from your colors profile, for the "acknowledged" items is used "orange background", something like "teal" as mouseover link and "black" as a text. To change the color of the text,
you should click exactly on the "Bad (ack)" text ("Status" column) and select appropriate color instead of "black".

:o Thanks, it fixed the problem.

However it seems a bit inconsistent that the colorselection works like that. If I try to change the color of status "normal", it do not matter witch column I click on, but when changing it for status "warning Ack" it do.

Anyhow, thank you for the execellent support! 8)

Well, Color Profiles dialog simulates web interface so it should be more easy to find various elements of the interface. It shows single "Mouse over link" element because only one element of the interface can be in this state.
Anyhow, thank you for the execellent support!
You are welcome :)
