I would love to be able to do some tests at the same time every day. At the moment the best I seem to be able to do is the set a test interval of 23hours and 59 minutes. What I really want is for these tests to happen at 9am every morning.
I think the solution would be to add an irregular scheduling option that allow the test to be performed once per day at a prescribed time.

Really, this is not the best solution. I think you should use Sheduler http://www.ks-soft.net/hostmon.eng/mfra ... #Schedules for such purposes. E.g. you may create new shedule, uncheck all time intervals and then check only 9am interval for every day in a week. This task is not high priority task becase there is easy workaround - Schedules (here Yoorix is right)

Thanks for the link. I had looked at schedules but I did not think they would do the job.
The test I have in mind tests the event log to see if backups have failed. The test only looks at the event log since the last test was run so it is important to test one time only during the day otherwise the status may incorrectly show a status as if their was no problem reported during the last backup.
The problem with schedules is that if I do a single test at 9am then most of the day the status of the test will show as "Out of Schedule" rather than the status that the test had when it executed at 9am which is what I want.

That's easy to change. Set long test interval to this test item (e.g. 23 hours 57 min) and HostMonitor will not use "Out of schedule" status (ok, you will see this status just 3 min before next probe).The problem with schedules is that if I do a single test at 9am then most of the day the status of the test will show as "Out of Schedule" rather than the status that the test had when it executed at 9am which is what I want.

Thanks for that. After some fiddling I think we just figured that out here at almost the same time that you posted your reply.
There is one problem with this still in that it means that you need to create schedules for all the conceivable times of the day when you want different tests to run. For example if you want a test to run at 11:30 am then you need a shedule such as 11:30am-12:30pm. If you have some other test that you want to run at 4pm you need to create another schedule for that such as 4pm to 5pm. So it works but it is not that neat.

YesIs it okay to presume that this will get rolled into the next general release
