Figured it out. I went to stop the service using the MS Service applet and discovered the servers was starting up under local system and not my Domain Account even though that's how I configured it with the wizard.

I added the port 1054 into the firewall in case the rule hostmonitor put in only opened access to the application. That did not work.

It's the correct port because I get a different error if I try any other port; so the client sees something.

yes account is setup and, like I said, When I stop the service and launch the application, without changing anything in the RCC client, it works fine.

I wonder if the windows firewall is configured to allow the application and not the port... let me check that.
