Where is executable for HML Manager and what is it called?

I can find the icon and ini files for hml manager, but not the executable. I have checked every executable in the HostMonitor directory. Where is it located and what is its name?

Generating Graphical vs Tabular Reports

I am using HM V4 Enterprise Edition. I like the Log Analyzer graphical type data. How can I generate a report with this type of data for web access. I only seem to be able to generate tabular reports using Report Manager.

Did I miss something in the manual?

Error d:\...\Logs\102004-log.htm too big web access, AHM V4

In using the web access to view my log I get the error message: File D:\Program Files\HostMonitor4\Logs\102004-log.htm too big Is there an upper limit on the size of file the web server can handle. The log it is trying to open is 9.3MB. I have the same problem with a 32MB log file, and the syslog.ht...

Opening Log Analyzer directly to a private log

Will Log Analyzer permit an input parameter specifying the log file it is to open when started? Currenty I have to open it to the default common log, then use file, load to view data in a private log. Since my common log is quite large, it takes a long time to startup LogMan.exe. If it is possible, ...

Alex, I appear to have done all in your last post, including the info in the attachment you sent. I realize this means I have just missed something. Is there an email address I can send you a screen shot at? By the way, the tool looks great. I just placed the order with our purchasing for the Enterp...

Yes, that is an important question isn't it. I was talking about access to data using the Web server interface, however the data I want access to is report data. I find the "Report Manager" very confusing. There appear to be two of them, one in the Log Analyzer and one in the AHM GUI. They...

Does the popup registration reminder impact monitoring?

When the popup reminder comes up it appears I have to wait for it to run and then shut it down before I can do anything else with AHM. If I am not at the system the reminder stays open on the system. I am running AHM as a service during the eval and notice gaps in the monitoring. Is it possible the ...

Administering web report access in a DHCP environment

I have set up user accounts for various users of the web report access. It appears I have to enter their specific IP address as though everyone was on a static IP address. We are in a DHCP environment. How can I set up web access for users whose IP address may be changing as they lose and renew thei...

Telnet Service

I downloaded AHM 4.7. The manual on page 161 talks about a telnet service for remote connection. It seems to speak of it as though it can be accessed through the Options RCI tab, but I cannot find any reference to it. Is is possible it was not incluced, or did I have to download it separately or som...

OK, that got web access, now how do I get to remote control

Adding the loopback address to my user profile allowed me access via port 80, but what appears to come up is just a limited ability. I have enabled all rights, how do I get to the tool admin settings?

I did all that

I have tried entering my IP address in the "Accept remote connections from" box, it makes no difference. I believe this box is only meant to limit access, and if left blank simply lets the user login from any IP address. I have also tried my login using the "Login as..." dialog a...

Getting RCI and Web access to work

I have an eval copy of HM4.7 installed on a dedicated W2003 server. This is the only app running on the server other than the basic OS. I have configured it to run as a service. I have also installed the Web service on the same physical server. I have configured Options, RCI, Enable RCI, listen on 1...

Remote Managing HM as a service when using MS Term Svcs

I am evaluating HM 4.7 on a W2003 server. It is installed as a service. I have been unable to get RMI working, so am looking for a temporary way to remotely administer the server using MS Terminal Services. Can I stop the HM service, start the app on the server desktop using the same Test file, modi...
