No not true....What if there is a time out? It would be great to be SURE the error is logged.
An action on failure (a mail) would be GREAT. I know you log it already in the regular log

Error loggin via ODBC
Hey,
We are using the ODBC logging to a SQL for our reporting.
It would be nice to have a status returned on errors while writing the log (insert ...)
Reason is to make sure that a status change IS really written into the SQL.
A repeat until succes would be great....

Performance counters not working or VERY slow
How come that the Performance counter for CPU (for example) is SO slow that it will return an error.
This is on WIN2003 servers
On WIN2003 SP1 we don't get the performance counters to work
WIN2000 are ok
HostMon version 5.70

RMA Fails on WIN2003 Servers
Hey,
I installed RMA on 3 server and all 3 gives the same problem:
Faulting application rma.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module kernel32.dll, version 5.2.3790.0, fault address 0x000249d3.
Anybody?
Thx

Alex, I've checked it out and it works for my purpose with ('%::TestA::SimpleStatus%'=='DOWN') and ('%::TestB::SimpleStatus%'=='DOWN') I noticed something else, when I change my refresh interval to 1 sec with the same condition as above and I log to a ODBC then only 1 one test is logged. When change...

clusered services
Hey, I have a big question. I was wondering if it is possible to make a distinction between services that are "clustered". I have 2 DNS Servers, if 1 goes down and de 2nd still works I don't want to see it as BAD or get an alert for DNS. I'll check it elsewere or my alerting is not that im...
