I have downloaded a trial version of HostMonitor 4.10 and installed this one my desktop. URL monitoring works just fine. However, I have also installed the monitor on two other Desktops, and there I only get Unknown Host for the same URL's. I have done excactly the same during installation.
What can be the typical causes for "Unknown Host"? The URL's work in the browser outside of HostMonitor.
I really like HostMonitor, and would like to buy it, but I need it to work on at least one these other two PC's.

"Unknown host" status means host name cannot be resolved into IP address.
On some systems wininet.dll falsely returns "no internet connection" status, in this case HostMonitor does not perform URL request and sets "Unknown host" status.
To avoid this, enable "Do not check Internet connection" option (located on Miscellaneous page in the Options dialog).
