Hello again.
I have a case, to monitor text log files, for searching "bad" and "good" words.
All works fine while logfile is single (I point to it, and configure bad and good phrases). But I have some programs which generates lots of logfiles (naming by date-time in aperiodic manner). And I need to read all these files (or newest ones) for searching "bad" string.
Is it possible to monitor all text files on the folder simultaneously, or (is better) to monitor latest ones? |

HostMonitor can check specific log file or check newest, oldest file, check file using date/time variables but single test cannot check several files.
If you need to check 10 files, you need 10 Text Log test items.
Variables

Note: if you need to check "old" log files (check entire file, not just new records added after last test probe), then you may use Compare Files test method, it can check for specific string.
