Hello,
Today I updated Hostmonitor to version 10.70.
All "URL request" tests for FTP stopped working (for different servers) return "BAD" status.
Configure test "ftp://%user%:%pass%@%IP_HOST%:21/"
The test is just to see if it is possible to login to FTP

Please help urgently.

Regards
Artur

Actually we improved Folder/File Availability test method.
It supports FTP, FTPS, SFTP protocols, variables like %NewestFile%, %OldestFile% and should be used instead of URL test.

However you may add UrlTestMode=0 line into [Misc] section of hostmon.ini file and restart HostMonitor, then URL test should work as before.

Alex

Hello,
Thanks for the prompt reply, after making a change to hostmon.ini, the test works fine.

Thank you for your help

PS.
I understand that you can use the "Folder / File Availability" test only this test does not allow you to check whether logging into FTP is possible.
Example:
We have FTP shared for users to upload files. Test to see whether there are files does not make sense if no one upload files because it can not log on to the FTP server.

We have the principle that the master test checks if it is possible to log into the FTP server and if we get the status "Host is alive" starts the slave test to see if there are files.

Regards
Artur

if users cannot log on to the FTP server, then HostMonitor will not be able to logon as well and you will receive alert.
