Alex,
At present, in order to raise precise alerts, we configure Master tests frequency high ( ex. every 1 minute ) and Dependant tests less frequently ( ex. 2 minutes ). When there are 3 or more tests each dependant on the previous one ( ex. Firewall, Internet Router, WAN link, Router on other side, Firewall on other side, then the servers on other side... so on and so forth ), the time setting increases accordingly.
In order to overcome this and also to raise more precise alerts, can Host Monitor perform the Master Test as well just before declaring a test bad ? ( without just looking at the previous result of master test ).

Great Idea, hope you can implement that feature, but there can be a long dependency list to test !

Yes, we have this task in our "to do" list. But it will not be mplemented in version 4.0. Probably in version 4.20 ...
