count files byte size issue

Post by johnm »

Hi, I have a count files test using "Count files bigger than" and need to set it to 5GB (5192000000) but on save & reopen the bytes value goes back to 1.

1024000000 works
2048000000 works
3072000000 and higher does not save.

Is there a limit in byte value or is this a bug?

I've tried via RCC and also in main program on server. Same result.

Thanks...

Yes, there is 2GB limit.
Probably we can add Bytes/KB/MB/GB switch...

We started work on version 10 but it will not be released soon.
If you need this option, we can provide some unofficial update... what version of HostMonitor do you use?

Alex, I only just saw your last response about including this option in 9.90. I would appreciate that very much.

How soon would you expect to have it ready?

Alex, I applied this update back in october and then probably got sidetracked with some other important stuff. Anyway, it seems that the problem has changed a bit and throws an RMA error.

If I set the "Count files bigger than" to higher than 2GB, it errors with "RMA: 501: Wrong Parameter".

My Hostmon.exe is 9.92.1.1150
My RCC.exe is 4.92.1.477

Thanks and sorry for posting in the announcements. I thought it was appropriate for asking about why no further updates.

Yes, we have many internal and unofficial updates but if you plan to use version 10 and you can wait a months, I would recommend version 10 (so we will not have to support unofficial updates ;-)
If you want update now, please send request to support@ks-soft.net and provide your order number or registration name.
