Hi,

I'm trying to test an internal URL with passive RMA.
The URL isn't exposed to the internet.

Using IE, I can get the URL from the same machine that the RMA is installed on.
When I test from HM using the RMA I get "No answer".
I get the "No answer" reply very quickly (less than a second).

What can be the reason?

Thanks

HTTP or HTTPS?
Certificate problems? E.g. expired certificate or invalid hostname?

Regards
Alex

Is this http or https URL?
If this internal site uses https with invalid certificate, you'll get No answer status.
You may tell HostMonitor/RMA to ingnore certificate related problems by enabling the following Advanced options:
HTTPS: Ignore unknown certificate authority problems
HTTPS: Accept certificates with invalid host name
HTTPS: Accept certificates with invalid dates

Please note: each option can be enabled, disabled or greyed out (global settings will be used)

It's https and the certificate isn't valid, but I have all of those checked already.
Other ideas?

Please make sure some options are not greyed (global settings will be used).

Thanks.
The UI is a bit confusing since all option were checked (some were grayed but still checked).
I unchecked all and checked all again and now it works

Quote from the manual

HTTPS: Ignore unknown certificate authority problems
This option allows checking web servers that use HTTPS protocol and security certificates that were issued by not trusted company. With this option enabled, HostMonitor will accept security certificates issued by any company. When this option is disabled and the certificate belongs to a not trusted company then HostMonitor will set the test status to "no answer".

HTTPS: Accept certificates with invalid host name
This option tells HostMonitor to accept SSL/PCT-based certificate even if certificate was issued for different host

HTTPS: Accept certificates with invalid dates
This option tells HostMonitor to accept expired SSL/PCT-based certificates

By default these options are greyed out, this means HostMonitor should use global options specified on Misc page in the Options dialog. If you mark or unmark test options, these settings will override global options (for this specific test item only).

Regards
Alex
