Hi!
I am migrating my hostmonitor, and would like to run temporarily 2 agents at the same time on the same host.
But if i start the GUI agent, it warns me the service is already running.
Any solution to that?
Thanks & have a nice day!

Whay do you need to run Application(GUI) and Service at the same time?
This may lead to unpredictable results: some configuration files/test list may not be saved or can contain inconsistent data.
If you need to manage HostMonitor Service, we recommend to use RCC (Remote Control Console):

sorry maybe i was not clear:
I am in the process of migrating the HM from 9.5 to 9.9.
9.9 is running on a new machine. All the tests are being made from scratch, the old HM is a bit of a mess, as it grew over the years, with different contributors. So i have the chance now to do it "right" , for ex. migrating all scripts to PowerShell etc.
So I have to verify all those new shiny tests, but i can't rely on them yet.
Hence I want to run both HM hosts about a month in parallel.
I prefer to have the added workload to check 2 HM, as i don't trust the new one yet. And the old one is tested and works fine.
I hoped to have the services in place, pointing to the old HM host, while having a couple of servers where I run the RMA in GUI mode pointing to the new HM host. Of course GUI and service would run from different folders. After that month I could migrate everything to the new HM and delete the old one (finally).

As I understand you want to run 2 instances of HostMonitor on 2 DIFFERENT systems? Not a problem if you have 2 licenses or you are running one instance in evaluation mode.
Also, you want to run 2 instances of RMA agent on the SAME system so 2 HostMonitors will be able to work with these agents?
Passive RMA or Active RMA?
Regards
Alex
