Hi,
Is there a way to monitor iSCSI targets and/or volumes?
I'm looking for availability and free disk space....
Thanks!

If you check free space, you check space on logical drive. What is the difference SCSI, IDE, SATA, SD Card or CD-ROM?
You may use UNC or Drive Free Space test method.
BTW: we plan to release new version this week, Drive Free Space was improved - single test may check several drives on local or remote systems.

Hi Alex,
That's not exactly what I mean.
I mean actually connect to the iSCSI storage based on the target's IQN... |

Actually connect? Do you mean if HostMonitor can send SCSI commands over TCP? No, it does not support this protocol.
May be there are other options but it depends on what exactly device/software do you use....
may be you are using some device that supports SNMP protocol?
may be you created array using some Windows software?

I'm using a x86 server running FreeNAS 7.
I've created 2 iSCSI volumes which are available to VMware ESX4.
This weekend the iSCSI volumes became unavailable, while all services and SNMP values on the FreeNAS 7 box appeared to be just fine.
It took a reboot of the FreeNAS server for the volumes to become available again.
That's why I would like to connect directly to the IQN.
I'll add it to the wish-list |
