Tests seem to be getting stuck in their statuses

Post by xcentric »

Having a strange issue.

So far today, 2 different tests have somehow been frozen.

Both tests were completely different. One was an agent the other local. Two different test methods. One a ping and the other an http.

The http was stuck in checking status. I was not able to unfreeze it. Other tests using the same agent were humming along just fine.

The other was a ping test frozen in no answer status when in fact it was up. A refresh did not increment the recurrence nor did disabling/enabling.

In each instance I had to restart hm to get the tests running again.

Using v9.16. Never heard of or seem this happen before. Server is dedicated to hm. Perplexing at the moment. Anyone care to take a stab at it?

There were some internet connectivity issues but this was observed after services were restored. I believe the connectivity issues were the catylist but it seems as though hm did not fully recover.

Probably HostMonitor just did not receive answer from agent.
Passive RMA or Active RMA?
What timeout specified for HostMonitor<->agent communication? Have you wait specified time?
If something was wrong with test thread, HostMonitor should mark it as "timed out" within 15 min (unless you modified some "unofficial" options).

Ping test performed directly by HostMonitor?
And other tests worked fine at the same time?
And this test does not have any master tests?
then I do not have any idea how its possible

Could you start Auditing Tool (menu View)?
Any errors?
